Introduction to PPU
Procurement Policy Unit (PPU) is established in the Ministry of Finance (MoF) pursuant to Article 80 of the Public Procurement Law for policy and professional development and as a performance monitoring organ in field of Public Procurement. The PPU is responsible for prescribing policies and proposing improvements in procurement practices to accomplish the purposes of the Law in all areas of Public Procurement. Article 81 of the Public Procurement Law provides for the functions of the PPU. The PPU shall implement measures and programs aimed at developing human resources and professionalism for procurement, including training programs and providing certification of the credentials of members of Procurement Committees and procurement officers.
